You may ask why do I want to run for a seat on the Tellico Village Property Owners Association Board. For me the path was cleared when I read James 4:17 ESV. So who ever knows the right thing and fails to do it, for him it is a sin.

I have seen in Tellico Village the waste of funds, rising assessments and fees without reasonable justification, lack of supervision and leadership, disregard for citizen input, abuse of power and hiding information and decisions from the property owners.

Therefore, I will do my best to do the right thing for property owners in the execution of my duties and responsibilities if I am elected.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Civilian work experience includes being a Florida Licensed Electrician; Georgia Real Estate Agent; Involved in home construction and renovation in the Savannah, Georgia Area; Property Maintenance Administrator and City Marshal, Savannah, Georgia; Director of Street Maintenance for the City of Savannah, Georgia; Public Works Maintenance and Operations Manager Chatham County, Georgia; Deputy Director of Public Works and Park Services, Chatham County, Georgia.

Military work experience includes leader of two Combat Engineer Platoons; Engineer Bridge Company Commander; Branch Chief for Evaluation of Criterion Reference Engineer Instruction; Trainer/Instructor for Engineer Basic Course Lieutenants, Aide-De-Camp to US Army Engineer School Commander; Branch Chief for Mobility and Countermine Operations; Corps of Engineers Doctrine Writer; Battalion, Division, Corps and Theater Engineer Operations Officer; Service Support Operations Officer in various Military Organizations; Director of Public Works for two Military Installations; Division Commander’s liaison and Special Projects Officer coordinating with City, County, State and Federal Elected Officials. I served in a Major (O4) position as a Lieutenant (O2) and in a Colonel (O6) position as a Lieutenant Colonel (O5).

EDUCATION

Graduated from Colonial High School Orlando, Florida; AA Degree from St. Leo College; BA Administration Degree from Upper Iowa University; MS Administration Degree from Central Michigan University. Graduated from six military schools/college with the last being the Air Command and General Staff College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

AWARDS

Over 25+ years of enlisted and officer active duty service, I have received various awards for work accomplished as a leader, commander; project officer and staff officer from Battalion level to Theater Army level. And served in one combat zone. Last award was the Legion of Merit for a Distinguished Military Career.
